Women's Ice Hockey Travels to Robert Morris for Key Matchup

The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team travels to College Hockey America opponent Robert Morris on Feb. 22-23. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and 3:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Time Out
The Lakers traveled to Penn State and tied 1-1 on Friday and 2-2 on Saturday.
 
On Friday, Maggie Knott scored for the Lakers while Kennedy Blair picked up the lone assist. Blair also made 19 saves in net.
 
During Saturday's game, Michele Robillard and Summer-Rae Dobson scored goals while Sam Isbell, Emma Nuutinen, Sarah Hine and Dobson tallied assists. Blair made 27 saves in net, including a penalty shot save.
 
Previous Matchup
The Lakers and Colonials met at the Mercyhurst Ice Center back in October. The Lakers took the first game 4-2, before the Colonials won 5-1 the next day.
 
Emily Pinto, Samantha Fieseler, Alexa Vasko, Vilma Tanskanen, Mary Katherine Gialames, Dobson, Hine and Nuutinen recorded points for Mercyhurst.
 
Sarah McDonnell made a total of 48 saves in net for the Lakers.
 
Emilie Harley, Angelica Diffendal, Sarah Lecavalier, Lexi Templeman, Amber Rennie, Kirsten Welsh, Jaycee Gerhard, Maggie Lague, Natalie Marcuzzi, Sarah Quaranta and Emily Curlett picked up points for Robert Morris.

The Colonials are coming into the weekend with a 12-12-6, 10-3-3 record. They are coming off of a 2-2 tie and 6-1 loss to Lindenwood.
 
Gebhard is leading the Colonial roster with 18 goals, 26 assists and 44 points. Templeman is next with 27 points and Rennie has 23 points.
 
In net, Baliey has earned a 11-10-5 record, 2.34 goals against average and .901 save percentage. She is ranked 21st in the nation with a .519 winning percentage. Arielle DeSmet has a 1-2-1 record, 2.13 GAA and .902 save percentage.
 
Gebhard is ranked seventh in the nation with 1.47 points per game, tied for seventh in the nation with 0.87 assists per game and tied for 13th in the nation with 0.60 goals per game.
 
Templeman is ranked 13th in the nation with 0.77 assists per game.
 
LaGue is ranked 15th in the nation with 0.70 points per game as a defenseman and Curlett is ranked 21st in the nation with 0.60 points per game as a defenseman.
 
The Colonials are ranked 11th on the power play going 19.7 percent and tied for 30th on the penalty kill with 81.3 percent.

All six teams go to the CHA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y. Seeds 3-6 play in the quarterfinals with the two winners advancing to face the top two seeds the next day in the Semifinals. The two winners face-off in the Championship game the next day.

Mercyhurst will welcome RIT to the MIC on March 1-2. Puck drops at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday will be Senior Day.
