The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team is on the road at College Hockey America opponent Penn State on Feb. 15-16. Puck drops at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Mercyhurst welcomed Syracuse to the Mercyhurst Ice Center falling 6-5 and 4-0.Â
On Friday, Emma Nuutinen recorded two goals and one assist, Megan Korzack scored two goals and Sam Isbell had one goal and one assist. Maggie Knott, Michele Robillard, Sarah Nelles, Vilma Tanskanen, Summer-Rae Dobson and K.K. Thiessen picked up single assists for Mercyhurst. Sarah McDonnell made six saves in net, before Kennedy Blair stopped eight shots in a relief effort.Â
During Saturday's game, Kennedy Blair stopped 16 shots on net.Â

Back in October, the Lakers welcomed the Nittany Lions to the MIC and swept the weekend winning 2-1 and 5-4 in overtime.Â
Emily Pinto, Alexa Vasko, Molly Blasen, Sarah Hine, Mary Katherine Gialames, Thiessen, Knott, Tanskanen, Robillard and  Nuutinen recorded points for Mercyhurst. McDonnell made a total of 56 saves in net during the weekend series.Â
Brooke Madsen, Kelsey Crow, Loli Fidler, Katie Rankin, Natalie Heising and Katie McMillan tallied points for Penn State. Jenna Brenneman made 31 in net on Friday while Burke Chantal stopped 24 shots on Saturday.Â

Penn State is coming into the weekend series with a 10-12-6, 4-8-2 record. They are coming off of a 5-1 loss and 2-2 tie with Robert Morris.Â
Heising is on top of the Nittany Lion roster with 12 goals and 23 points. Crow is leading with 13 assists and has 14 points. McMillan and Izzy Heminger have 11 points each.Â
Brenneman has a 10-11-6 record with a 1.82 goals against average and .924 save percentage. Burke has a 0-1-0 record, 4.62 GAA and .828 save percentage and Cam Leonard has made five saves in net.Â
Penn State is ranked 14th in the nation on the power play with 19.4 percent and ranked 31st on the penalty kill with 80.9 percent.Â
