Nuutinen and Silvonen Named to Team Finland for Euro Hockey Tour

FÜSSEN, Germany – Emma Nuutinen and Jenna Silvonen have been named to the Finish National Team for the Euro Hockey Tour in Füssen, Germany.
 
Finland will be joined by Czechia, Switzerland and Sweden in the tournament.
 
The 2019-20 Euro Hockey Tour has four tournaments within the tour. Those four tournaments include the Karjala Tournament, the Channel One Cup, the Beijer Hockey Games and the Carlson Hockey Games.
 
The four teams started off the tour with the Karkala Tournament on Nov. 7-10. Finland opened the tournament with a 4-3 win over Russia. They then fell 3-2 in a shootout to Czechia and finished it off with a 2-1 win over Sweden.
 
Nuutinen and Silvonen will now join the team for the Channel One Cup, Dec. 12-15. They will take on Czechia on Dec. 12, Sweden on Dec. 14 and finally Russia on Dec. 15.
 
The Beijer Hockey Games will take place Feb. 6-9 and the Carlson Hockey Games will be April 30-May 3.
 
Nuutinen is currently leading the Laker roster with 10 goals and 20 points. She is ranked 13th in the nation with 1.43 points per game. Nuutinen has three power play goals and three game winning goals with a +7 plus/minus rating.
 
Silvonen just picked up her first collegiate start this past weekend for the Lakers. She stopped all 15 shots that she saw for her first collegiate win and shutout. She has a 0.56 goals against average and .958 save percentage with a 1-0-0 record.
