The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team is back in action after a weekend off as it hosts non-conference opponent Union on Nov. 29-30 at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Puck drops at 3:05 p.m. on Friday and 2:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Time Out
The Lakers took on No. 5 Clarkson and fell 4-1 and 2-1 on Nov. 15-16.
 
Michele Robillard scored both of the Lakers goals while Emma Nuutinen and Sam Isbell had assists.
 
Kennedy Blair made 33 saves on Friday and 35 saves on Saturday.
 
Previous Matchup
Last season Mercyhurst traveled to Union for one game and won 5-2. Rachel Marmen had two goals while Alexa Vasko, Robillard and Isbell scored one goal each. Summer Rae Dobson, Maggie Knott, Megan Korzack, Isbell and Nuutinen had one assist each.
 
For Union, Grace Heiting scored while Haley Shugart, Rachel de Perio, Megan Ryan and Maia Martinez had one assist each. Kate Spooner made 45 saves in the loss.

Mercyhurst leads the all-time series 2-0-0 over Union. The Lakers hold a 20-2 scoring margin.
 
Scouting the Dutchwomen
Union is coming into the weekend with a 2-9-2, 2-3-0 ECACH record. The Dutchwomen are coming off of a 2-2 tie with RIT.
 
Leah Herrfort and Heiting are leading the roster with six points each. Katelynn Russ is next with five points.
 
In net, Bella McKee has a 2-6-2 record with a 3.03 goals against average and .922 save percentage. Amelia Murray has a 0-3-0 record with a 7.95 GAA and .810 save percentage.
 
Laker Outlook
Mercyhurst has a 7-4-1, 4-0-0 CHA record. The Lakers are 6-0-0 on home ice.
 
Nuutinen is on top of the Laker roster with nine goals and 18 points. Isbell leads with 12 assists and has 16 points while Vasko is next with 12 points. Dobson is close behind with 10 points on the season.
 
In net, Blair has a 1.88 GAA and .928 save percentage. She has two shutouts on the season. Jenna Silvonen has a 1.26 GAA and .889 save percentage in 47 minutes played.
 
CHA Goalie of the Week
Blair was named the CHA Goalie of the Week after her efforts against fifth ranked Clarkson.

Nuuitnen is tied for 11th with 1.50 points per game and 0.75 goals per game.
 
Isbell is tied for 10th with 1.00 assist per game. She is ranked 23rd with 1.33 points per game.
 
Vasko is tied for 23rd with 0.80 assists per game.
 
Blair is ranked 15th with a .928 save percentage and ranked 16th with a 1.88 GAA. She is 16th with a .625 winning percentage.
 
The Lakers scoring offense is ranked seventh and their defense is tied for 12th. 
 
Special Teams
Mercyhurst is ranked first in the nation on the penalty kill going 94.1 percent. The Lakers are ranked eighth on the power play with 23.8 percent.
 
The combined special teams is ranked second with 60.3 percent.
