BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's and women's tennis teams fell short in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Singles/Doubles Championships.
 
For the men, Ruairidh Fraser competed in the finals in the singles bracket and fell to Nils Plutat of Edinboro (6-2, 5-7, 5-10).
 
Unai Amilleta Gonzalez lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Plutat (5-7, 1-6).
 
For the women, Ivona Plecevic and Nadja Ostojic were defeated in the semifinals by eventual champions Viola Lugmayr and Lois Page from Slippery Rock in the doubles bracket.
 
Men's Tennis is back in action on OCT. 17-20 at the ITA Cup. Women's Tennis is set to play Kutztown on Oct. 11 and East Stroudsburg on Oct. 12 before they join the men for the ITA Cup.
