Box Score MEADVILLE, Pa – The Mercyhurst men's tennis team began the new campaign at the Allegheny Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College Saturday and Sunday.

In singles competition, Lukas Valverde managed a perfect 3-0 record on the weekend along with David Mengher, who also posted a 3-0 record, and Petar Belosevic, who went 2-0.

Danylo Rekun and Mykhailo Polishchuk each posted a pair of singles victories as well.

In doubles competition, the team of Polishchuk and Belosevic went 2-0 during the weekend while Rekun and Mengher also captured two wins for the Lakers.

Valverde and Nikola Radisic also managed to secure a win along with Kazumasa Sadohara and Derek Winsnes.

The Lakers travel to Indiana, Pa. for the IUP Invitational Sep 6.
