FREDRICK, MD. – The Mercyhurst women's bowling team went 1-4 on day one of the Mount Shootout on Saturday.
 
In five Traditional Matches the Lakers totaled 3,835 pins for a 153.4 game average. They bowled 625, 760, 775, 887 and 788 in that order.
 
In the individual standings, Haley Youker led the way for Mercyhurst coming in 11th. She totaled 950 pins in five matches. She went 159, 150, 191, 227, 223 with a 190.0 game average.
 
Next up for the Lakers was Samantha Schurr in 47th. She went 113, 208, 160, 170 and 157 for a total of 808. She earned a game average of 161.60.
 
Samantha Strebel was next with 790 pins in 50th. She bowled 169, 155, 130, 188 and 148 in that order for a 158.00 game average.
 
Jessica Perry came in 63rd with a total of 611. She had a game average of 122.20, as she bowled 98, 130, 135, 154, 94.
 
Andrea Fracassi was right behind her in 64th with a 147.50 game average. She totaled 590 pins, going 0, 7, 59, 148, 166.
 
Katryna Slavicks also bowled one game, totaling 86 pins.
 
The Lakers return to action on Sunday.
