Germanich, Provenzano Named in All-NEC Honors

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – The NEC released their three All-NEC Teams at the conclusion of the regular season on Thursday. A pair of Laker bowlers took spots on the teams; Tia Germanich earned her place on the All-NEC First Team while Briana Provenzano was named to the All-NEC Rookie Team.
 
This is Germanich's first time being named to the All-NEC First Team and her second All-NEC honor overall, being named to the All-NEC Rookie Team last season. During the 2025-26 campaign, Germanich played 240 of Mercyhurst's frames in conference play. She threw 121 strikes in 240 attempts, earning her a striking percentage of 50.4%, which was fifth in the NEC this season. Germanich also collected 84 spares in 119 attempts. She also led the NEC with 9.15 average pins for her first ball thrown. Over two NEC meets, Germanich placed fifth overall in overall scoring in the NEC. Germanich was also named NEC Bowler of the Week twice and Prime Performer three times throughout the campaign.
 
Provenzano played in 201 of Mercyhurst's frames in conference play. She threw 73 strikes in 203 attempts, logging a 36% conversion rate, which was 26th in the NEC. Provenzano also finished in 15th place for converting 85 of 130 spare attempts. She also finished in 20th place in the NEC with an average of 8.77 pins for her first ball thrown. Provenzano finished 19th in scoring for the NEC through two NEC meets. She was also named NEC Rookie of the Week and Prime Performer once during the season.
