The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team is set to hold its home opener on October 11-12, when it hosts Sacred Heart for a two-game weekend series. Puck drops at 3:05 p.m. on Friday and 2:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Scouting the Pioneers
Sacred Heart is coming into the weekend series with a 0-2 record. The Pioneers fell 4-0 and 7-0 to Maine last weekend.
Jayne Lewis is leading the roster with eight shots on goal. Maddie Bishop has five while Victoria Grimmer, Olivia Bryant and Anna Klein have three shots on goal each.
Frankie Sanchez played both games in net for the Pioneers. She recorded a .875 save percentage and 5.53 goals against average.
Laker Outlook
Vasko and Marmen are on top of the Laker roster with two points each. Isbell, Korzack, Weiss, Knott, Thiessen, Nuutinen and. Perreault each have one point.
In net, Blair has played both games for the Lakers. She earned a .922 save percentage and 2.43 GAA.
