ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst wrestling earned a pair of victories on Sunday at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Lakers (4-0, 3-0) claimed a 59-0 win over PSAC opponent East Stroudsburg before claiming a 29-12 non-conference victory against Lake Erie.

The Lakers totaled six pins in their third conference victory of the season.
Alexis Soriano got the Lakers their first fall with a win at 133 in 1:26. Then,
Aidan Burke won in 42 seconds at 141, Mike Clark recorded a pin in 2:49 at 149 and
Kevin Kinyua claimed a fall in 1:06 at 157.
Gavin Wilkerson added a technical-fall victory at 174 before
Trevor Johnson had a pin in 5:42 at 184 and
Jacob Robb recorded a pin in the heavyweight class in 2:07.
Mercyhurst 29, Lake Erie 12
Burke, Clark, Begin and Robb recorded their second victories of the day on the mat, each, while
Logan Grass earned his first win on the mat as the Lakers won their fourth dual of the year.
Burke won via decision to give the Lakers a 9-3 edge in team scoring. MU then led the rest of the way.
Clark and Robb were awarded victories via injury default. Grass had a tech-fall win at 165. Begin added a win via decision.
Mercyhurst will return to action with matches against Belmont Abbey, Bluefield State, King (Tenn.) and Newberry at the Coker Duals in Hartsville, S.C.
