CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- Mercyhurst men's tennis players Cormac McCooey and Unai Amilleta Gonzalez teamed to win the ITA Atlantic Region Doubles championship over the weekend.

The Laker pairing won four consecutive matches across three days, winning in the finals over a Bluefield State pairing consisted of Arthur Figuiere and Frederick Baumadsen. Upon winning the ITA Atlantic Doubles title, McCooey and Amilleta Gonzalez qualified for the ITA Oracle Cup on Oct. 11-17.
