ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst football team will finish its 2018 season with a non-conference home game against Millersville on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Lakers will honor both United States veterans and their senior class before the contest.

- The Lakers are coming off a 14-7 home win over Clarion in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division finale for both squads. Coupled with a 38-21 victory over Gannon during the previous week, Mercyhurst has a two-game win streak
- Mercyhurst senior linebacker Rocky Owens was named PSAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week for his performance during the Lakers' win over Clarion. He had seven total tackles and finished with 2 1/2 tackles-for-loss including one sack. He had an interception that thwarted a Clarion drive deep in MU territory. Owens' honor came one week after his younger brother, running back Garrett Owens, was recognized as the PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week.
- Mercyhurst leads the all-time series against Millersville, 2-0, with wins at home and on the road.
