Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst volleyball team split during Friday's competition of the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational, falling to Findlay, 3-1, before taking a 3-0 decision over Saint Michael's.

FIndlay 3, Mercyhurst 1
Alyssa Zirnheld finished with 11 kills while Shelby Chesko totaled nine kills and nine total blocks for the Lakers. Makayla Molle and Abby Rose added 17 and 14 assists, respectively, for Mercyhurst.

Hannah Vuylsteke had 21 digs for the Laker defense. Leah Kern added seven total blocks.

The Oilers were led by Amanda Winner, who totaled 19 kills, and Hailee Olson, who had 52 assists.


Mercyhurst 3, Saint Michael's 0
Chesko smacked 13 kills and Katie Baird had 10 as the Lakers (1-5) broke into the win column with a straight-set victory. Molle (22) and Rose (10) combined for 32 assists and Vuylsteke made 10 digs.
