Erie, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst volleyball team is has revealed its schedule for the 2026 season. The Lakers look to make a second consecutive appearance in the NEC Tournament after earning Mercyhurst's first ever Division I postseason berth in 2025.

The season kicks off with the Youngstown State Invitational Aug. 28. The Lakers will take on regional rivals Canisius and Duquesne along with the Penguins over the two-day event.

Following this, Mercyhurst will host two home tournaments presented by Scott Enterprises, Official Lodging Partner of Mercyhurst Athletics. The first takes place on Sept. 4-5, featuring matchups against Morehead State, Siena, and Cleveland State. The second home tournament will be on Sept. 11-12, where Mercyhurst will face Columbia, Kent State, and Niagara.

The team then heads to the Ohio Invitational from Sept. 18-19, where they will compete against UNC Asheville, Morgan State, and host Ohio.

October brings a series of away matches, starting with back-to-back games against Stonehill on Oct. 2 and 3, followed by a weekend against FDU on Oct. 9 and 10 marking the start of conference play.

Mercyhurst fans will have the opportunity to cheer on the team at home when they face Le Moyne Oct. 16 and 17, followed by Central Connecticut State (CCSU) Oct. 23 and 24.

The Oct. 17 match with the Dolphins has been dubbed the Centennial game as Mercyhurst celebrates it 100 years of history and the rich traditions of the school and volleyball program.

Later in the month, the team travels to New Haven for matches on Oct. 29 and 30.

The regular season concludes with away games at Chicago State Nov. 6 and 7, before returning home to take on LIU Nov.13 and 14. The team hopes to secure a spot in the NEC Championship scheduled for Nov. 20 and 21, with details to be announced.
