BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team claimed an 8-1 victory against Bloomsburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Sunday.

The Lakers won all three doubles flights before taking 5 of 6 points in singles action.

Mercyhurst jumped ahead with an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles by Nenad Terzic and Cormac McCooey. The pair defeated Gerard Puig and Steve Williams.

Wins then followed at second and third doubles. Sebastian Pardo and Arseniy Sklyarov teamed for an 8-3 win at second doubles against Pedro Andari and Leonardo Nakasone. At thirds, Conor McCooey and Joaquin Aguilera bested Pablo Herrero and Christian Cioffi, 8-2

Lakers won No. 1 through 5 singles. Terzic won the No. 1 match over Herrero, 6-0, 6-1. Other Mercyhurst winners, in flight order, were Cormac McCooey, Aguilera, Pardo and Conor McCooey.

Cormac McCooey handled Puig, 6-3, 6-1; Aguilera defeated Conrado Stemmer, 6-3, 6-2; Pardo got past Nakasone, 6-2, 6-1; and Conor McCooey bested Williams, 6-1, 6-2.
