Box Score BUCKHANNON, W. Va. -- The 10th-ranked Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team defeated West Virginia Wesleyan, 17-4, in non-conference action on Thursday.
Brenna Fosco was the leading point-getting for the Lakers, finishing with three goals and one assist.

Amy Hoffman made two assists each. Hubert, Lawson and
Taylor Izzo also had assists for Mercyhurst (2-0), which opened the game with 12 consecutive goals.

Abigail Miller had three stops in a relief role.
For WVW (1-4), Natalie Schaffner and Ken Lubic finished with one goal and one assist each. Alexus Bonner had eight saves.
Mercyhurst will play next on Sunday when third-ranked Le Moyne visits Tullio Field for a 1 p.m. draw.
