The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team travels to Syracuse for a two-game set of College Hockey America games on Friday, Feb. 10 and Saturday, Feb. 11. Game times are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Matchup
-Mercyhurst leads the all-time series 33-5-3. After going 22-0-2 through the 2013-14 season, the Lakers are 6-4-1 in their last 11 against the Orange.
-The Lakers earned a split against Syracuse back in November, losing the first game 4-2 before bouncing back with a 4-3 win the next day.
Scouting the Orange
-Syracuse stands pat in second place in the CHA with a 9-3-2 conference record to go with a 10-11-5 mark overall
-The Orange are coming off a series split with CHA top-seed Robert Morris back in late January. They lost to the Colonials Jan. 27 3-1 before coming back the next day with a 5-1 win.
-Syracuse has the stingiest defense in the conference allowing only 2.0 goals per game.
-Orange goaltender Abby Miller leads the conference with a 1.83 goals-against average in 17 games played. She is also tied for the conference lead in wins with nine.
-Stephanie Grossi leads Syracuse with 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists).
-Allie Munroe is Syracuse's top-scoring blue liner with 16 points (5-11).
Laker Outlook
-Mercyhurst jumped Penn State in the CHA standings and now sit in third place at 10-16-2 overall and 6-7-1 in conference.
-The Lakers are coming off their first series sweep in conference play when they downed the Nittany Lions 6-0 and 4-3 Jan. 27-28.

Sarah Hine received CHA Player of the Week for Jan. 23-29 after her five-point weekend in State College.

Maggie Knott was named CHA Rookie of the Week after scoring a goal and two assists versus Penn State.
