Box Score MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team led 1-0 at halftime but failed to hold the advantage in the second half, losing 2-1 to Millersville Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers (2-6-3) are now 2-6-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and have dropped their last three games.

Mercyhurst jumped on Millersville late in the first half thanks to Anja Korte. She scored from the right wing with a shot to the left of the Marauders' keeper to give Mercyhurst the 1-0 advantage going into halftime.

From then on out, Millersville would do all the scoring. Kay Liebel scored in the 82nd minute to tie the game, shortly followed by a Delaney Meadows go-ahead goal in the 88th minute.

Vilde Wold made nine saves in goal for the Lakers. Korte and Maya Fanazini tied for the team lead in shot attempts.

The Lakers travel to Daemen College in a non-conference showdown next Tuesday, Oct. 10 starting at 3 p.m.
