Box Score ERIE Pa. – The Mercyhurst volleyball had an impressive victory against Edinboro in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action Saturday October 22nd. It took the Lakers all five sets to seal their victory, with no easy victories, in each set both teams were within four points of each other. The first set went to the Lakers 25-21, the second and third went to the Scots 25-22 being the score for both sets, the fourth and fifth the Lakers took winning 26-24 in the fourth and 15-8 in the fifth.
 
Sophmore Shelby Chesko lead the team in points have 18 kills on the game while also posting 3 block assists. Senior Sarah Wegrzyn followed Chesko with 13 kills and recorded one block assist. Senior Lauren Kenny also broke into double digits on kills by having 11 and posted two block assists. Makayla Mollé led the team in assists having 25, followed by Hannah Tombaugh recording 19. Molle, recorded a game high of four services aces, and also had one block assists. Senior Samantha Giardina had a game high dig count of 19, Tombaugh was right behind her with 14. Senior Haley Adams had two solo blocks for the game.
 
Mercyhurst is scheduled to take the court next at Kutztown, October 28th, at 7 PM.
