#9 Field Hockey Heads to #7 East Stroudsburg for PSAC Quarterfinal Tuesday Afternoon

ERIE, Pa.- The #9 Mercyhurst field hockey team travels to #7 East Stroudsburg for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament Quarterfinal on Tuesday, November 11. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. start at Whitenight Field.
 
Mercyhurst earned the fifth seed and finished the regular season with a 9-9 record, including a 7-7 PSAC mark. The Lakers have set a school record with 47 goals this season, surpassing the 2002 team that held the mark with 46. Blair Pembleton and Marissa Faso have each scored 13 goals to lead the offense.
 
Fourth-seeded East Stroudsburg went 10-8 overall and 8-6 in the conference. Ally Roth leads the Warriors with 22 goals and 9 assists this year. Jessica Lawville has scored 15 goals.
 
Mercyhurst is returning to the postseason for the first time 2009, while ESU is making its second straight PSAC Tournament appearance. The Lakers won three games against teams that qualified for the PSAC Tournament, while the Warriors won one.
