COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mercyhurst field hockey team was among several prestigious institutions who earned NFCHA academic awards. The Lakers also had twelve athletes listed in the 2025 DI Academic Squad. 

There are currently 83 DI field hockey teams in the NCAA. 60 of the 83 teams were celebrated by the NFCHA for holding a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The Lakers held a team GPA of 3.53. Additionally, here are the twelve, undergraduate student-athletes who amassed a 3.5 GPA or higher:
