ERIE, Pa.- The #2 Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team takes on Wheeling Jesuit in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) contest on Saturday, March 30. Faceoff is slated for noon at Tullio Field.

The Lakers have won their first seven games in 2013, including a 20-2 win over Walsh on March 24. Mercyhurst scored nine goals in the first quarter of the victory-the most Laker goals in a single period since April 29, 2007. Fourteen different players scored in the match as well.
Wheeling is 6-4 this year, but has lost two in a row coming into Saturday. The Cardinals lost, 9-3, to Lake Erie College on March 20, and then dropped an 8-7 decision to Tampa on March 23.
Brian Scheetz is the Lakers' leading scorer with 15 goals and 14 assists.
Brady Heseltine has scored 19 goals and
Jake McAndrew has 13 this season.
Michael Grace has started all seven games in goal, allowing 6.09 goals per game while stopping over 61 percent of his shots.
For the Cardinals, Brian Frank leads the way. He has scored 23 goals and dished out 15 assists this season. Landon DelPrince has added 18 goals. Sean Wright and Tyler Buchan have combined for 27 goals between them.
In the national rankings, Mercyhurst is seventh in scoring offense with over 13 goals a game. It stands third in scoring defense, giving up 5.29 goals per match.
