GREENSBURG, Pa. - The Mercyhurst University wresting team returns to action on Saturday, January 5, when the Lakers travel to Greensburg, Pa. to take on the Griffins of Seton Hill in a non-conference dual meet. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Lakers went a perfect 3-0 in dual action during the 2012 portion of the regular season. Mercyhurst defeated Ashland 20-19 on criteria to open up the dual meet season and then easily handled both East Stroudsburg, 45-3 on December 15, and Mercyhurst North East, 42-0 on December 19.
On Thursday, it was announced that Mercyhurst remained seventh in the Super Region 1 rankings and had six grapplers ranked in their respective weight classes - freshman

Seton Hill enters Saturday's action with a 4-1 record. The Griffins earned victories over Thiel, Penn State Allegheny, Mercyhurst North East, and Jamestown Community College. Seton Hill dropped its only decision on December 1 - a 23-13 decision to Lake Erie College.
Mercyhurst is 5-0 lifetime against Seton Hill, including a 38-12 victory over the Griffins on December 17 of last season during the Mercyhurst North East Quad Meet.
