BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team lost to Bloomsburg University on Saturday, 2-0, under the lights.  The Lakers fell to 3-3 on the season.

The Lakers had a pretty even match against the Huskies, however they were not able to find the back of the net.  The Huskies had five shots on goal, eight total compared to the Lakers three, and eight total, all of which came in the first half.

Huskies junior Tara Huber shined in the first half, scoring at the 28:33 mark from a pass from junior Kyleigh Reckage.  Huber led the team with six shots. 

The second goal was scored at the 64:09 mark by Huskies junior Jessy Shober.  The unassisted goal was her second of the season.

Lakers junior Gabrielle Catrabone and sophomore Janine Wong both led the team with two shots apiece.  Freshman goaltender Ellie McDougall made three saves on five shots, taking the loss in net.

The Lakers are back in action on Wednesday, September 19, at 4 p.m. against Mansfield University at the Mercyhurst soccer field.
