ERIE, Pa.- The #1 Mercyhurst men's lacrosse team heads to Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday, April 3. The East Coast Conference (ECC) match is slated for a 4 p.m. face-off.
The Lakers are 6-0 after an 8-5 win over #12 C.W. Post on March 31.
Brian Scheetz had two goals and three assists and
Kyle Kallay scored three times. Wheeling Jesuit is 4-5, including a 6-5 loss to NYIT on March 31. Kevin Figaniak had two goals and an assist in the defeat.
Hurst stayed atop the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll, garnering all 10 first-place votes. LeMoyne and Merrimack follow as the other two unbeaten remaining in Division II.
Last season, the Lakers won, 16-6, over Wheeling, as Scheetz had two goals and six assists in the home victory. Hurst leads the all-time series, 12-0.
