ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will host Slippery Rock in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament quarterfinal game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

The Lakers finished the regular season 17-9 overall and 15-7 in the PSAC Western Division. The Rock went 17-9 overall and 14-8 in the league. The teams split two regular season matchups in 2012.
Hurst won, 73-66, at Lock Haven February 25, as
Matt Lee scored a career-high 32 points. The Rock won, 87-66, at home against Clarion February 25.
Lee is averaging 15.8 points per game and has connected on 66 three-pointers this season.
Luis Leao is next with 14.7 points and 5.2 rebounds. Devin Taylor leads the Rock with 13.3 points and 9.9 boards a contest.
Slippery Rock paces the PSAC in field goal percentage defense at 37.9 percent and three-point field goal percentage defense (27.6 percent). It also ranks first in rebounding margin (+10.8). Taylor leads the league in rebounding.
Hurst runs the most efficient offense in the PSAC, leading the league in turnover margin (+3.19), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2), and assists (16.1). It has also hit a conference-high 194 treys.
Jamal Turner has the best individual assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.0.
In the first meeting on January 14, the Lakers won, 64-62, at the MAC.
Steven Coleman led with 18 points and seven rebounds, while
Paul Bilbo had 13 points and seven boards. The hosts led, 48-31, with 13:22 left in the second half before the Rock got within one point late.
Andrew Rickard made a free throw and then the Lakers made a defensive stop to escape with a two-point victory.
At the Rock on February 4, SRU took a 73-71 overtime decision.
Bill Weaver made a putback with 30 seconds left to tie the score and eventually send the contest into overtime. Leao's trey with seven seconds to go got the visitors within one, but Mercyhurst could not get a tying shot up in the final seconds. Leao led all scorers with 27 points. Luiz Santos led the Rock with 15 points and 11 boards.
The winner of Tuesday's match will advance to the PSAC Final Four this weekend, hosted by the highest remaining seed in the Eastern Division.
Mercyhurst President's Cards are not valid for playoff games. Tickets for the quarterfinals are $7 for adults, $2 for students. Students at PSAC member institutions are admitted free with a valid ID. No complimentary passes except for official PSAC passes.
