ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team travels to downtown Erie for a meeting with rival Gannon on Wednesday, February 15. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at the Hammermill Center.

Hurst is 15-7 overall and 14-4 in the conference. It lost, 67-49, at #13 Indiana (Pa.) on February 11. The Lakers are alone in second place in the West, two games back of IUP. They are a game ahead of Slippery Rock with four contests remaining. GU is 12-10 overall and 10-8 in the league. It won both of its games last week, including a 91-80 win at Clarion on February 11. The Golden Knights are one game back of fourth-place California (Pa.) in the Western Division.

Gary Manchel's squad is led by
Matt Lee, who is scoring 15.8 points per game, having hit 58 three-pointers on the season.
Luis Leao is averaging 15.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. The Lakers lead the conference with 36.7 percent accuracy from three-point land while hitting a PSAC-high 8.7 a contest. They are second in three-point field goal defense at 29.9 percent. Hurst paces the league in assists (17.0), steals (9.1), turnover margin (+4.18), and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.3).
Darrell Blanton leads the Knights with 18.3 points (fifth in the league) and 8.5 boards (fifth) a contest. He is also second in the PSAC in field goal percentage (54.3 percent). Freshman Adam Blazek is the reigning conference player of the week after scoring 37 points in the win over Clarion Saturday. On the season, he is putting up 15.4 points and 3.8 assists a game. The rookie leads the league in free throw percentage at 88.9 percent and steals with 2.7 per game. Gannon is third in the PSAC in scoring (78.6) and second in field goal percentage (48 percent). It is also second in rebounding margin (+7.9) and assists (16.3).
