EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- The Mercyhurst field hockey team lost 3-2 at East Stroudsburg Friday afternoon. Lucrezia Manzione scored on a penalty stroke in the 54
th minute to give the Warriors the decisive goal.
ESU (3-7) opened scoring with a goal at the 17:09 mark. However, the Lakers responded soon thereafter, as
Marissa Faso scored in the 23
rd minute to tie the game at 1.
Katie Erbacher had the assist.
Mallory Pope regained the advantage for the home team in the 30
th minute and the Warriors took the 2-1 edge into halftime.
Kelsey Lovelace tied the match at the 37:07 mark, as
Catherine Willard set her up for the goal.
Manzione scored the game-winner midway through the second frame.
Ashley Wiskup made 15 saves in net, as ESU outshot Hurst 20-11 in the contest.
