ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College wrestling team will face the Eagles of Ashland on Feb.4. The first match will begin at 7 p.m. in Kates Gymnasium located on the campus of Ashland University.
Mercyhurst and Ashland have faced off 10 times in program history with Mercyhurst holding the advantage with six wins. The Eagles won the first four matches but the Lakers have won the last six contests.
On Saturday, Feb.5 the Lakers will be traveling to Painsville, Ohio to compete against Ohio Valley, Tiffin, and host Lake Erie College in the Lake Erie Quad Meet. Mercyhurst will compete against all three teams for the first time in program history. Both Ohio Valley and Tiffin are in their programs inaugural season entering the quad meet. Lake Erie is off to a 4-7 start this season with notable wins against Seton Hill and Baldwin-Wallace.
