Mercyhurst 3, Cheyney 0

ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College volleyball team (11-3) completed its sweep of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division opponents on the first weekend of the crossover schedule with a 3-0 victory over Cheyney, 25-7, 25-6, 25-4.

Kelsey Richardson and Chantal Haase led the Lakers with six kills each while Erin English and Becky Smith added four kills each.  

Chelsea Hennigan and Kiera Rebert contributed 10 helpers while Rebert led the team in digs with eight.  Elyse Texido and Hennigan recorded six digs each.  

Pacing the Lakers offense was Megan Riske, who tied a school record with 10 service aces.  

Next up for the Lakers is the PSAC Western Division opener at home against Slippery Rock on Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
