Mercyhurst University Athletics

2021: Ran in all sox of the Laker races, posted a season best time of 28:34 at the PSAC Championships, good for 72nd place. 

2020-21: Ran in both races for the Lakers ... Posted a 16th place finish in Run in the Park and a 75th place finish at the PSAC Championships.

2019 Season:
Appeared in all seven races.  Doug Watts Invite finished 16th.  Placed 61st at the Division II/III Challenge at Kutztown.  Lock Haven Invitational posted a 109th place result.  Finished 9th at both the Mercyhurst/Gannon Race in the Park (28:20.2) and Bill Lennox Invite (28:17).  Came across the line in 48th at PSAC Championship and 60th at NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional.      

2018 Season:
Appeared in all seven meets for the Lakers. Edinboro Season Opener finished 13^th. Roberts Wesleyan Invitational placed 21^st. Louisville Classic finished 108^th. At the Mercyhurst/Gannon Invitational placed a season-high 3^rd with a time of 28:17.5. Regional Race Preview finished 91^st. PSAC Championships placed 29^th. In the NCAA Regional at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh, Pa. finished 30^th clocking in at 36:40.

High School and Club Info:  Ran cross country and track for Riverview High School.  As a cross country athlete was named All-Kiski Cross Country Athlete of the Year, Alle-Kiski Cross Country All-Star, and placed second at the WPIAL "A" Championships.  With the track team he was a two-time qualifier for the PIAA Championships in the 3200m.

Family Info:  Son of Earl and Joy Barnes.  Has four siblings, brothers, Jacob and Christopher, and sisters, Hannah and Elise.
