At Mercyhurst: Rowed the 2-seat in the freshman lightweight 8+ boat that won silver at Dad Vail Regatta and gold at MACRA Championships in 2013

High School: Participated in rowing at St. Joseph's Prep...coxswained freshman year, stroked the novice 8+ sophomore year, and bowed the varsity lightweight 2x junior and senior years...placed fifth at Stotesbury in junior year...took a gap year and coached the doubles for St. Joseph's Prep...lightweight 2x captured silver at Stotesbury and S.R.A.A...B-Final winner at Youth Nationals...bronze at Philadelphia City Championships...also rowed for Hawk Rowing, Fairmount Rowing Association, and Undine Barge Club.

Personal: Born December 29, 1992...majoring in intelligence studies with a minor in computer systems...son of Margaret and Joseph...has two siblings - Lawren and Gwynedd...great uncle Charles Kieffer won gold in the 2+ at the 1932 Olympics...grandfather Lawrence and great uncle John each rowed for the U.S. National Team...father Joseph rowed for Syracuse while sister Lawren rowed for Brown and won NCAA National Championship in 2011...sister Gwynedd is a freshman at Brown University and is on rowing team
