Biography

2010:  Saw action in 10 games for the Lakers, including five starts… posted a .176 batting average (3-for-17, 3 RBI, 2 R)… solid defensive catcher who committed just one error in 52 changes while throwing out nearly 20 percent of steal attempts… went 1-for-2 with an RBI in the first game of the season against Florida Memorial on 2/21… contributed two RBI against St. Thomas on 2/22 while also posting a 2-for-3 effort with two runs scored against Concordia (NY) on 2/23.

2009: Saw limited action at catcher… picked up a run scored against Lake Erie… played in three contests for the Lakers… knowledgeable behind the plate.

2008: Made two starts at designated hitter...Logged four at bats...Started both games of the March 22 doubleheader against Findlay.

High School: Played baseball, football and ice hockey...Named all-league and Academic All-Ohio following senior season...Helped his team to the Ohio Division II state championship and a 30-3 record in 2007...Batted .361 wih four homers and 38 RBIs as a senior...RBI total was the second-best single season mark in school history...Was a member of the National Honor Society and worked on the newspaper staff.
