In high school,  Smith played both football and baseball.  In baseball...was a four year letterman, a two time all-district 10 pitcher, district 10 pitcher of the year, first team all-region DH and a second team all-region third baseman.  In Football...lettered three years, a two time PIAA State Champion, defensive player of the game in the 2017 state championship, 2017 first team all-district 10 center, 2017 second team all-district 10 defensive end, 2016 second team all-district 10 tight end and second team all-region defensive end in 2016.
