Additionally, the team welcomes two new freshmen, Reese Brewster and Natalie Barnes, who are expected to make their debut.
Lineup Competing Tomorrow
A Return to the Scene of Last Year's Success
The Lakers have unfinished business at this event — Mercyhurst placed 4th out of 7 teams at last year's Roseann Schwartz Invitational, carding a 320-313=633. Two members of tomorrow's lineup led that charge: Danielle Walker paced the team as the low scorer, firing a 78-78=156 (T16th/50), while Lauren Iannetta wasn't far behind at 79-82=161 (T25th/50).
Iannetta enters the fall as the Lakers' most consistent performer. She posted an 80.1 stroke average across nine rounds last fall and a 78.4 average this past spring, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the YSU Spring Invitational and a T-2nd showing right here at the Evann Parker Memorial. Walker followed a similar arc, averaging 82.5 in the fall and turning in a season-best 78-78=156 at this very tournament.
Olivia Seaman and Molly McGreal also return with full seasons of experience under their belts. Seaman averaged 83.0 in the fall and 83.6 in the spring, with a T-22nd finish at YSU serving as a season highlight, while McGreal averaged 83.8 in the fall before a T-28th showing at this event last year. AnnaMarie Zinram, meanwhile, is looking to build on limited fall action from a year ago, having played in just one event (the Bucknell Fall Invitational) with a 92.0 average. Rounding out the lineup is freshman Natalie Barnes, who will be making her collegiate debut.
