UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team traveled to the Penn State campus to wrap up their competition weekend. After dropping their matches against Bucknell, the Lakers were looking to bounce back and end the weekend on a high note.
 
In singles competition, Kiersten Brown showcased a strong performance and came away with close matches with scores of 6-4 and 6-3, despite going 0-2. Neither Laker competitor was able to log a win.
 
In double competition, the teams of Simone Mercier/Daria Rogova and Mollie Gray/Celeste Davis came away with losses by a score of 6-0. The team of Ellyana Jacobs and Brown dropped their matchup by a score of 6-1.
 
The Lakers ultimately fell to the Nittany Lions by an overall score of 7-0.
 
The Blue and Green will next travel to Bowling Green, Ohio to take on the Falcons Friday, February 13.
