ERIE, Pa. — The Mercyhurst women's basketball team secured a 75-66 victory over Central Connecticut State in a matinee matchup at the Mercyhurst Athletics Center, aided by 11 three-pointers.
Jenna Van Schaik and
Sofia Wilson both posted 21 points in the win. Wilson drained five 3-pointers while adding six assists.

The game began with the Lakers (12-15, 12-4 NEC) taking an early lead by converting consecutive free throws from
Erica Hall at 8:42, followed by a jumper from
Jenna Van Schaik. Wilson contributed significantly, hitting two 3-pointers, the latter assisted by Hall, which widened the gap to 10-6 at 5:46.

The Green and Blue maintained its momentum with efficient shooting, including another 3-pointer by Van Schaik, extending its advantage. The quarter concluded with the Lakers ahead 21-16.

The Lakers seized control in the second quarter with a key scoring burst, highlighted by Wilson's three-pointer at 2:34, extending their lead to 33–27. Earlier in the quarter,

Despite a late push by CCSU, including a quick layup by Lucia Noin, the Lakers finished the quarter ahead. The halftime score favored Mercyhurst 36–32.
