The Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team will hit the turf Friday as they host Xavier for their season opener at 12:00 p.m. at Saxon Stadium.

Previously from the Lakers
The Lakers opened their season on the road at Kent State Saturday, where they fell 17-9. 

The Watchlist
Emma Cimino led the Lakers in goals last week, scoring four on five shots. Cimino also grabbed one ground ball. Her performance landed her a spot on the NEC Prime Performer list. 

Hannah Young and Whitley Easton each scored two goals in the matchup. Young and Easton also each tallied an assist. Easton also had two ground balls and one caused turnover. 

Freshman Audrey Seibold scored her first career goal as a Laker on her only shot. 

Easton, Katie Gleason, and Maggie Allen led the team in ground balls with two each, while freshman Payton Platz had two caused turnovers.

Allen stood tall in goal for the Lakers making 16 saves on 32 shots on goal.
