Last Time Out
Mercyhurst most recently met NEC foe Saint Francis where they won 94-79. 

Bernie Blunt III led the Lakers on the offensive end of the court scoring a season high 31 points. Blunt also grabbed eight rebounds, one steal, and had four assists.

Qadir Martin set a career high in points with 23.He went 10-11 from the field, had eight rebounds, and three blocks.

Jake Lemelman scored 12 points in match up. He also had six assists and two steals. 

Mykolas Ivanauskas had six rebounds, while Deshaun Jackson Jr. had two rebounds, four assists and eight points. Christian Gamble also tallied eight points in the matchup.

Laker Leaders 

Blunt III is third in the NEC in points per game overall averaging 16.9. He is second in free throws, shooting 85.1%, and is sixth in 3-PT field goals per game averaging 2.1 per game. Blunt III also sits at eighth in FG% shooting 42.2%

Lemelman is seventh overall in the NEC in FG% shooting 43.7% and eighth in assists averaging 3.0 per game. Lemelman is also tenth in assists per game averaging 1.3 and fifth in assist/turnover ratio with 1.8.

Martin is first in the NEC in blocks averaging 2.4 per game and is sixth in rebounds averaging 6.6 per game. He is second in NEC play in FG% shooting 61.3% from the field.

Jackson Jr. has also gotten his name on the NEC leaderboard sitting at ninth in assists averaging 2.9 per game. 


The Matchup: Wagner
Wagner enters Thursdays matchup with a 9-16 overall record and 4-2 mark in NEC play. They most recently faced LIU where they fell 65-83. The Seahawks played a competitive non-conference schedule, finding five of their six wins in non-conference matchups. Five of their 11 non-conference matchups were games within 10 points or less. 

Nick Jones leads the Seahawks in points per game averaging 14.5 per game. Jones shoots 41.8% from the field and five field goal makes per game. He is second in assists averaging 2.4 per game and first in steals averaging 1.9 per game.  

Eddie Placer leads the Seahawks in threes, shooting 38.7% from beyond the arc. He is second in points per game averaging 9.5. 

Binael Basil leads the Seahawks in rebounds averaging 5.8 per game. He is second in blocks averaging 0.5 and shoots 56.6% from the field. 

Jaden Baker leads the team in assists averaging 3.2 per game and is second in three point field goals shooting 35.4% beyond the arc on 4.0 attempts per game.

The Seahawks are led by interim head coach Dwan McMillan who is in his first season. He got his coaching career started in Erie as a graduate assistant under Gary Manchel from 2012-2014. The Lakers and Seahawks last met in Staten Island January 10, 2026 where the Lakers won by just one point. The Lakers are 3-0 overall when facing the Seahawks.
