BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's bowling team traveled to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania over the weekend to participate in the 2
nd NEC Meet of the season. The Laker squad featured strong performances with the team finishing in 5
th place out of 7 teams.

In Traditional competition, the Lakers fell in a close battle with Niagara by a score of 949-879. This was followed by a match with FDU, who came out on top with the win 1,043-899. The Lakers managed to rebound against Monmouth with a 978-901 win, as well as a dominating 871-563 win against Wagner. The Lakers continued their winning streak with a close 849-841 win over LIU before falling in their final traditional match against Duquesne 1,035-919.

In Baker competition, the Lakers faced off against LIU in their opening match, winning a close battle 927-890.
Briana Provenzano led the way by rolling 229 in this matchup. The Blue and Green dominated their match against Wagner, where Provenzano led the team by rolling 225 in a resounding 968-573 win. The Lakers would then drop their next pair of matches with Niagara and Duquesne 961-882 and 912-848 respectively. In their 5
th match, the Lakers battled hard against FDU, coming away with the win by a score of 870-838. In their final matchup against Monmouth, the Hurst fell in a close battle 973-928.

The Lakers finished the weekend with a record of 6-6 and 10,818 total pins through Baker and Traditional competition, which was complimented by a team average 180.3 per game.

A total of 4 Lakers finished in the tournament top 20, with Mackensie Livignston leading the way by placing in 13
th out of 48 competitors. Livingston collected 1,126 pins in Traditional competition, as well as a 187.67 per game average.
Tia Germanich continued her streak of strong performances with a 15
th place finish. She collected 1,099 total pins and an average of 183.17.
Tatiana Llera had a strong weekend for the Lakers, finishing in 16
th place with 1,097 total pins and an average of 182.83.
Lily Watts also performed well with 1,044 total pins and an average of 174.0 per game, putting her in 17
th place.

The Lakers will next travel to Niagara Falls, N.Y. for the Niagara Brunswick Spring Classic Saturday, February 22.
