BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mercyhurst Women's Tennis team traveled to Bowling Green to take on the Falcons in their first-ever meeting between the programs on Friday.
 
In singles competition, Daria Rogova battled hard in her matchup, but ultimately fell 6-2 in both of her sets. Kiersten Brown and Ellyana Jacobs both posted the best match scores for the Lakers in their matches, but both fell to the Falcons by scores of 6-3 and 6-2. The Lakers would not earn any points through their singles matches.
 
In doubles competition, the team of Celeste Davis/Mollie Gray fell on their court 6-0 early into the competition. The team of Jacobs/Brown showcased resilience as they battled in a 6-3 loss to the Falcons while Simone Mercier and Rogova also fell by a score of 6-3 on their court.
 
The Blue and Green ultimately fell to the Falcons 7-0.
 
The Lakers will next travel to Buffalo, N.Y. for a matchup against the Buffalo Bulls on Monday, February 16. Start time set for 3 PM.
