Men's Basketball to Finish Three Game Road Stint at SFU

Mercyhurst will continue their road trip stint at Saint Francis on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EST. at the DeGol Arena The Lakers will meet the Red Flash after most recently facing Le Moyne where they fell in a tight contest 57-58. The Lakers have met the Red Flash once this season and won in overtime 98-89. Live coverage will be available on NECFrontRow.

Last Time Out
Mercyhurst most recently met NEC foe Le Moyne for the second time this season where they fell 57-58 after leading going into the lockerroom concluding the first half.

Bernie Blunt III led the Lakers on the offensive end of the court scoring a team-high 14 points. Blunt also grabbed five rebounds, two steals, and grabbed four steals.

Jake Lemelman scored 12 points in match up. He also grabbed five rebounds, three steals, and dished two assists. 

Mykolaus Ivanauskas scored 11 points for the Lakers, shooting 50.0% from the field. He also added two steals.

Qadir Martin came up big defensively, snagging nine rebounds, dishing out two assists, and blocking one shot.

Laker Leaders 
Blunt III is third in the NEC in points per game overall averaging 16.2. He is second in free throw% shooting 84.3%, and is sixth in 3-PT field goals per game averaging 2.0 per game. 

Lemelman is seventh overall in the NEC in FG% shooting 43.3% and eighth in assists averaging 2.9 per game. Lemelman is also fifth in assist/turnover ratio with 1.7.

Martin is first in the NEC in blocks averaging 2.4 per game and is sixth in rebounds averaging 6.5 per game.

Deshaun Jackson Jr. has also gotten his name on the NEC leaderboard sitting at ninth in assists averaging 2.9 per game. 

The Matchup: Saint Francis

Saint Francis is 6-19 overall and 4-8 in the NEC. The last time out, they traveled to FDU where they fell 59-66. In conference, they have found wins against FDU, Wagner, Stonehill, and Chicago State.

Skylar Wicks leads the Red Flash in points and FGA/G averaging 17.5 points per game and 16.0 attempts per game. He shoots 39.4% from the field and 36.7% from three. He also leads the team in rebounds averaging 7.2 per game and is second in steals averaging 1.5 per game. Wicks is second in the NEC in scoring, fourth in the NEC in rebounds, sixth in the NEC in steals, and fourth in the NEC in 3-PT fg per game.

Zion Russell is first in assists for the Red Flash averaging 2.8 per game, second in points per game averaging 12.8 and shoots 41.2% from the field. Russell also averages 4.1 rebounds per game.

Gestin Liberis leads the Red Flash in blocked shots averaging 0.6 per game. Liberis is second in rebounds averaging 4.7 per game.

Victor Payne also leads the Red Flash shooting 43.2% from the field, 38.7% from three and averaging 0.5 blocks per game.

Ahmad Harrison averages 9.3 points per game, shoots 38.6% from the field, 35.6% from three and is second in steals for the Red Flash averaging 1.4
per game. The Red Flash are coached by Luke McConnell in who is in his first season as head coach. He has been a long standing member of the Red Flash men's basketball program since 2013. The Lakers have met the Red Flash three times in program history.They are 2-1 overall.
