NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team dropped their road contest 6-0 to Lipscomb on Sunday.
The Bison found their first goal 52 seconds into the match, taking a 1-0 lead against the Lakers. The Lakers did not let the goal shake them as they held Lipscomb from conceding a goal the rest of the half.
Isabella Fiorillo tallied the first shot of the match for the Lakers in the 36
th minute.
Adri Lika made four saves in the half.
The second half proved to be challenging for the Lakers as they tried to find rhythm. The Bison found three goals in eight minutes to put them up 4-0. Two more goals were scored later in the half to tally the Bisons' score count to six.
Madison Sievering put a shot on goal in the 60
th minute, but it was picked up by the Bisons' goalkeeper.
Fiona Fraser also got a look for the Lakers, the shot going over the crossbar. Lika made five saves in the second half, totaling nine for the match.
The Lakers will travel to Buffalo Thursday as they take on the Bulls at 7:00 p.m.
