The Mercyhurst men's ice hockey team will start a series of AHA road trips, first stopping at RIT this weekend as they face the Tigers.

The Lakers closed out October and their seven-game home streak against AHA opponent Bentley last weekend. The Lakers fell in both games.
The Watchlist
Three goals were scored by the Lakers last weekend. Freshman
Will Schumacher tallied two goals last week, scoring in both games. These marked his third and fourth goals of the season, keeping him at the top of the stat sheet in goals for the Green and Blue.
Christian Kocsis scored his first collegiate goal on Saturday after a delay of game penalty led to a penalty shot. Kocsis also added an assist on Schumacher's goal.
Jacob LeBlanc,
Dominik Bartecko, and
Trent Sambrook also picked up assists over the weekend.
Charles-Edward Gravel and
Sal Evola both played in goal last week.
A Closer Look: RIT
- The Tigers have started their 2025-26 campaign 5-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the AHA, finding two wins over Air Force and losing their series against Sacred Heart.
- RIT returns 16 Tigers to the ice this season. Most notable is junior forward Christian Catalano, who finished third in points last season with 23.
- Xavier Lapointe and Tristian Allen also return. Both were tied in fifth for points last season with 15.
- The Tigers welcome 11 new skaters to the ice.
- Tyler Mahan leads the Tigers in goals thus far with five on the season.
- Mahan and Catalano are tied second in points with six.
- Simon Isabelle leads the team in assists with five and points with seven.
- Catalano, Zach Wigle, and Allen are not far behind with four assists each.
- Evan Konyen is second in goals with three.
- Sophomore Jakub Krbecek was named AHA goaltender of the month after a 4-1-0 record in five starts.
- Krbecek has tallied a season-high of 39 saves and entered this week ranked sixth nationally with a .945 save percentage. He is tied for seventh in GAA with 1.50.
- Krbecek has also been named AHA Goaltender of the Week.
- Caleb Elfering was named AHA Rookie of the Month as he is tied at third in the AHA among first-year players with five points on two goals and three assists. He has also garnered AHA Rookie of the week honors.
The Lakers are 21-37-6 overall when facing the Tigers.
