The Mercyhurst volleyball team enters the final week of the regular season, as they continue NEC play against Chicago State, with playoff implications on the line.
Mercyhurst and Central Connecticut State are tied for the final playoff spot in the NEC, with both teams sitting at 8-6 in NEC play and splitting the season series against each other. The Lakers can secure the fourth and final spot in the NEC tournament with a series sweep of Chicago State and at least one CCSU loss in their weekend series against FDU. Senior Saturday
The Lakers are set to honor their six graduating seniors prior to Saturday's game.
Brice Hansen,
Alia Mastromatteo,
Jessica Wilson,
Mevelyn Brazoban and
Andrea Zaric will be honored for their contributions to the program.

The Lakers went on the road to Syracuse, N.Y. to face off against NEC opponent Le Moyne, winning both games 3-0 and 3-1, respectively.
The Watchlist:
Kaitlin Murphy took home NEC Prime Performer of the Week honors for her dominating weekend against Le Moyne. She had 19 kills, seven blocks and a .567 hitting percentage. Murphy has a .296 hitting percentage, which is top 10 in the NEC.
Julia Shepherd had another dominating weekend of offense for the Lakers. She had 21 kills, 12 digs, three blocks and a .353 hitting percentage. Shepherd maintains being top 10 in the NEC in three categories, including hitting percentage, being behind her teammate
Kaitlin Murphy.
Alia Mastromatteo continues to be a reliable playmaker for the Lakers. Over the weekend, she recorded 42 assists and 14 digs for the Lakers. She also had two aces, one that led to a second set victory for the Lakers in their second game against Le Moyne.

- Outside Hitter Nayella George is top 10 in the NEC in aces and digs.
- Middle Blockers Graci Littlejohn and Nia Cummings are both top 10 in blocks; Littlejohn being ranked first with 1.23/set and Cummings being ranked sixth with 0.98/set.
