Rochester, NY. – The Mercyhurst Women's Ice Hockey team continues Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) play this weekend with a two-game road series against the RIT Tigers. The Lakers, currently riding a six-game winning streak in conference play and winners of eight of their last nine games.
History
Mercyhurst leads the all-time series over RIT 44-8-1. The Lakers are 20-3-1 all-time on the road in the series history. The Lakers and Tigers have played twice already this season, with both sides grabbing a win in Erie. The Lakers are winners of four of the last five meetings.

Mercyhurst (15-12-1, 10-4 AHA) enters the series in top form after back-to-back shutout wins over Robert Morris. The Lakers have been on a roll as of late, sweeping their last four series.
Offensively, Vanessa Upson leads the Lakers with 27 points (9 goals, 18 assists), while Sofia Nuutinen (10 goals, 12 assists) and Julia Schalin (10 goals, 12 assists) continue to be key contributors.
