Lakers Place Three on All-AHA Teams

Boston, Mass. - The Atlantic Hockey Association announced the All-AHA teams early Tuesday afternoon and the Lakers had three players land on an All-AHA team. 

Owen Say earned All-AHA Third Team honors. The London, Ontario native finished the season with a record of 8-17-4, a .913 save percentage, a 3.22 GAA, and 950 saves. Say led the AHA in saves and saves per game with 30.65. This is Say's second All-AHA selection as he earned All-AHA Rookie Team honors a season ago. 

Boris Skalos earned All-AHA Rookie Team honors. The Clifton, New Jersey native finished an outstanding first season in Erie, leading the team in goals with 15 and finishing second on the team in points with 27. He also added 12 assists to his final stat line for the season. Skalos finished top-10 in the AHA in goals (15), shots (110), and game winning goals (3). Skalos recorded his first career hat trick on December 2nd against Canisius.  

Trent Sambrook earned All-AHA Rookie Team honors. The Medora, Manitoba native finished the season with three goals and ten assists for 13 points, while blocking 32 shots. Sambrook had three multi-point games during the season, including a three-point game against Sacred Heart where he scored twice and dished out an assist.
