Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Men's Ice Hockey team is set for a trio of games against Niagara this week. Tuesday's matchup will be a rescheduled game from earlier in the season, while Thursday and Saturday will be the normal home and home between the two teams that will wrap up the regular season. Thursday will be at Niagara and Saturday will be in Erie.
History Lesson
Niagara leads the all-time series 23-19-7. In their most recent matchup, the Lakers and Purple Eagles went to a shootout, and the Lakers won the shootout 1-0. Going back to last season, the Purple Eagles won the season series 2-1-1. The Lakers are 12-9-3 all time in the series at home.

The Lakers traveled to AIC this past weekend. The Yellow Jackets took game one 4-1. In that game, the lone Lakers goal came off the stick of Keanan Stewart from Garrett Dahm and Mickey Burns. In game two the Lakers fell behind 2-0 but stormed back with goals from Barrett Brooks and Cameron Ricotta. The game went into overtime, and eventually to a shootout. After both teams missed their first three attempts, Barrett Brooks took his turn and scored to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead in the shootout. Owen Say made a huge save to preserve the shootout win. The Lakers gained an extra point in the AHA standings for the shootout win.

Steven Agriogianis is second on the team in assists with 16 and tied for second in points with 21. Philip Waugh is second on the team in goals with 10.
