Erie, Pa.- The Mercyhurst Football team capped off a historic year by placing nine Lakers on the Phil Steele NEC All-Conference teams.
Cameron Barmore was the lone representative on the First Team, while
Adam Urena,
Nathan Nagucki and
Tyler Buterbaugh were all named to the Second Team.
Brian Trobel, Adnrew Bernard,
Camden White,
Zach Hill and
Chaz Davis were all named to the Third Team.

Wide Receiver
Cameron Barmore dominated in the 2024 campaign for Mercyhurst. The Graduate Student from Panama, NY. led the NEC in receptions (71), receiving yards (913) and receiving touchdowns (13). Barmore had eight or more receptions in six games and also tallied two receiving touchdowns in six separate games. He averaged over 12 yards a catch and 86 yards a game while catching balls from Urena.

Quarterback
Adam Urena was named to the Second Team. At the helm, Urena threw for 2,773 yards and 31 touchdowns. Both of which were the most in the NEC. The Chino Hills, Ca. Native completed 67% of his passes and averaged 256 passing yards a game. He threw for over 300 yards in a game twice and had a season high against Duquesne when he threw for 345 yards and three scores.

Kicker
Nathan Nagucki was named to the Second Team after a stellar senior year. Nagucki, who hails from Medina, Oh., converted 30 of his 35 PAT attempts. He placed third in the NEC with seven field goals made, and he only missed one. Nagucki had the highest field goal percentage (87.5) of anyone in the NEC who attempted five or more kicks.

Linebacker
Tyler Buterbaugh picked up right where he left off in the 2024 season. The Saxonburg, Pa. native led Mercyhurst with 83 total tackles. He registered a team-high 45 solo tackles with five of those being tackles for a loss. He also grabbed an interception and forced a fumble. He placed fifth in the NEC in tackles and he made his presence felt in his senior year.

Running Back
Brian Trobel had an impressive year and was named to the Third Team. Trobel, who is from Mentor, Oh., rushed for 445 yards and four scores on just 83 attempts. Trobel also hauled in 11 receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns. He finished 10
th in the NEC in rushing yards and was tied for eighth in the NEC in rushing touchdowns.

Offensive Lineman
Andrew Bernard earned Third Team honors. Bernard played a key part in helping the Mercyhurst offense thrive. Behind Bernard and the offensive line, Mercyhurst had the second best offense in the NEC. The Lakers also tied with Duquesne for the most points scored with 324. Bernard, a Graduate Student from Lakewood, NY, was a key part in the explosive offense in 2024.

Defensive Lineman
Camden White garnered Third Team honors off the heels of a great season. White, a Graduate Student from Batavia, NY., registered 34 total tackles, which was the sixth most by a Mercyhurst player. White led Mercyhurst with 3.5 sacks and tackles for a loss with 6.5. White made his presence felt as he also forced two fumbles.

Linebacker
Zach Hill was named to the Third Team after he recorded 77 tackles. Hill and Buterbaugh were huge for Mercyhurst in 2024 as they combined for 160 tackles. Hill, a Graduate Student from Westerville, Oh., was tied for the sixth most tackles in the NEC. He played a key part in a defense that helped the Lakers grab four wins in their first year at the Division I level.

Chaz Davis earned Third Team honors for his play on special teams. Davis, a Junior from Jacksonville, Fl., racked up 236 total kick return yards and 121 punt return yards. Davis also rushed for 55 yards and caught 30 passes for 304 yards and a score.
