Erie, PA- The Mercyhurst football team showcased a historic performance, overpowering Lincoln University with a commanding 66-0 victory at Saxon Stadium. The Lakers set a new program record for the most points scored in a single game, supported by an exceptional defensive display that featured seven interceptions. The last time the Lakers scored over 60 points was against Cheyney University in 2013, winning 63-14. The Lakers are now 3-7 on the season.

How It Happened
Mercyhurst set the tone early, scoring on their opening possession with a 28-yard touchdown pass from
Adam Urena to
Cameron Barmore. The momentum continued as Urena connected with
Mike Pappas for another touchdown, and kicker
Nathan Nagucki added a field goal to extend the lead. By halftime, the Lakers had surged to a 46-0 advantage, highlighted by Jordan Askew's blocked punt return for a touchdown and a 61-yard scoring strike from Urena to
Rylan Davison.
